40 Days of prayer Day – 40

Well you made it! 40 days of prayer!
How’d it feel to pray 40 days? What did God say? How did He direct you?
Personally, as I look at closing out the 40 days of prayer I have been asking God for direction and that He would draw me closer to Himself…
I feel that I have drawn closer to God. A deeper focus, more confidence in who He is and what He is doing in my life and in the lives of those around me.
I have become more consistent, I’ve always prayed to start my day, but, as soon as the alarm goes off now, I immediately begin thanking God for another day and glorify Him. Asking him to direct my every step and that what I say and do throughout the day would truly bring Him Glory. I seek to be filled with His Holy Spirit and directed by Him. Praying without ceasing has gone to a whole new level. Leaving the line open…
I have always been aware of my family and friends need for Christ in their lives. But, during this prayer time, that has shifted to a more focused and personal prayer time,   and looking for divine appointments with them. Giving those I love a chance to see the hope that I have and to do so with gentleness and compassion.
I do this for complete strangers, why not for family? Lord break our hearts for our families…
Praying for our church… Calvary Belmar. Wow, has there been some Spiritual warfare! As I have grown in my walk with the Lord I have noticed a pattern, when Satan tries to trip me up, God has something BIG right around the corner. During these 40 days, the Devil has been working hard at bringing division and discouragement, but at the same time we are seeing people respond to the gospel message. God is sending people who need salvation, healing and restoration. God has also shed a light on the fact that so many people are struggling with fear and anxiety in our church and community. The enemy wants to steal kill and destroy Gods creation. I am praying that God reminds us of the authority we have in the name of Jesus. That we can effectively push the enemy back and minister to those who are struggling spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
We are in a place of influence in our community, we have the ability to bring hope and peace into people lives through Gods word and obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that we are ready for ALL who God sends to us. In this, I also am praying for workers… those who will step up and serve along side of us, meeting the needs of those God sends. Loving God and loving people, means even loving the un-lovly’s, my prayer is that we can do this effectively.
Praying for our nation. I don’t care who the president is, we need to pray for them. Or who ever our leaders are, liberal, conservative, left wing, right wing, independent, national or local, it doesn’t matter. Pray for them. I usually do, but the last 40 days, I have prayed more intently. We are called to pray for our leaders that all may go well with us.
I spent many years in construction both new and remodel. The size of the foundation determines the size of the structure that could be built on it. That’s the way I see prayer. The more we pray the bigger the foundation, the bigger the foundation the bigger the structure. Not that I’m looking for us to become a MEGA church… But I am looking for us to do MEGA ministry. God has so much for us to do in Lakewood… it requires us pray. So, even though the 40 days is over… Don’t stop praying with passion and expectation!
Help build the foundation!
God is calling us to pray. Dont get distracted by the business of the day or the accessibility of technology.
Slow down, talk to the author and creator of everything we know. Lay it all out before Him, praise Him and worship Him!
The character of God + Faith + Prayer = Godly results.
Matthew 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Ephesians 1:15-18 “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling”…
I am encouraged by your faith in God and just as the Apostle Paul says above, I am thankful for you and for your faith, I pray that God gives you wisdom, and knowledge of who He is. That you truly understand the hope that He has given you through Jesus!
Love you all!
