Children’s and Youth Ministries

Jesus Christ loved being surrounded by children and so do we! We believe it is never to early to start investing in the spiritual growth of our children. We offer a wide variety of bible studies and special events for kids of all ages that are always centered around seeing them cultivate a strong relationship with Jesus Christ throughout every stage of their lives.

We cherish all God's children and value the opportunity to ensure all each one leave our classes knowing they are loved by God and his church. Our volunteers present a curriculum of biblical teaching in an age appropriate way and exemplify the joy of worship and learning God's word.

Kiirsi Ouelette oversees our wonderful team of children’s ministry volunteers and it is our privilege to be an example to the children of Calvary Belmar so that they may receive the love of Jesus Christ, grow in their walk with God, understand the Bible as God's holy word and develop a passion for sharing the Gospel with others.

  • Weekly children’s ministry takes place during our Sunday morning second service at 10:45 AM.

  • Special events like our Vacation Bible School, Easter carnival and Fall Trunk or Treat occur throughout the year.

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

- Colossians 2:6-7

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it

- Proverbs 22:6

Junior and Senior High School

We offer a weekly bible study that focuses on verse by verse biblical teaching and encourages self learning and active participation in their own spiritual growth. Our monthly events are both fun and educational. Previous events include hiking in the summer and the Up-Lift concert. We have also hosted an inductive bible study boot camp and made a visit to the Denver museum to see the Dead Sea Scroll Exhibit. In addition, we focus on loving others by committing to service projects like food drives, fundraising for bibles for countries in need and trash clean up on church grounds.

Geoff and Christin Burkhart have been our youth group leaders since 2015. Their hearts desire is to see that our youth are empowered to pursue their own personal walk with God, ask the hard questions, be seekers of truth and establish faith based friendships that will last a lifetime. Through worship, prayer and learning at their unique level we seek to see them establish a strong foundation in Jesus Christ that will not waiver as they enter adulthood.

  • Weekly bible study meets Thursday’s, 7:00 - 8:30 PM, at our church office. (MAP)

  • Monthly events typically take place every third Saturday.

  • Service projects are promoted quarterly.

I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the olive. I will set in the desert the cypress, the plane and the pine together, that they may see and know, may consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, the Holy One of Israel has created it.

- Isaiah 41:19-20

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

- Ephesians 3:17-19
